Version control that I use includes: Git, with repositories hosted on GitHub, and SVN for WordPress plugins.
- Git version 2.38.0.windows.1
- SVN version 1.14.2
- TortoiseSVN client
I’ve been using SVN for my WordPress plugins but really only paying it lip service, creating a new tagged version each time I deign to update the SVN repository.
Having purchased the Pro Git manual (version 2) I started to use Git, and GitHub, for all my plugin and themes.
- I haven’t yet integrated my SVN repositories with my Git workflow.
- Nor have I switched from my home grown solution for creating ZIP files for my plugins and themes to using the git method.
- And I don’t use branches properly, which makes it difficult for me to contribute PRs to other projects.
My GitHub account is bobbingwide.
