• Accessibility statement

    My commitment

In many countries (including the UK, EU, and increasingly the US), accessibility statements are a legal requirement for public-sector websites and strongly recommended for private-sector ones.

    • UK: The Equality Act 2010 and the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 require public websites to meet WCAG 2.1 AA and publish an accessibility statement.
    • EU: Similar laws under the European Accessibility Act (2025) extend obligations to many private organisations too.
    • Even if not strictly required, having a statement shows you’re aware of and working toward compliance — reducing the risk of legal challenges.

I want everyone who visits this website to be able to use it, regardless of ability or technology.

I aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standard.

    How accessible this website is

I’ve implemented this website so that:

    • text is easy to read and resize
    • pages are structured for screen readers
    • colours and contrast meet accessibility guidelines
    • you can navigate most of the site using a keyboard or voice commands

I know that some parts of this website may not yet be fully accessible, for example:

    • Some plugins generate HTML that could be improved.
    • Videos lack captions or transcripts
    • Certain images may be missing alternative text, or they may need better alternative text.
    • Some older PDF documents may not be fully compatible with assistive technologies

I’m working to fix these issues.
