    I’m an X Twitter user

oik v4.14.0 now supports the X logo in addition to the Tweeting bird.

I’ve got several Twitter accounts but rarely use them nowadays. So I wasn’t in a rush to update my Follow me links to change from the Twitter logo to the new X logo. But, I’ve finally got round to doing it.

In oik v4.14.0 I’ve added a new shortcode [bw_x]. This is in addition to the [bw_twitter] shortcode. I’ve also extended the Follow me block ( [bw_follow_me] shortcode) to support both Twitter and X in the list of networks to display.

    Notes

In the oik options > options page I’ve entered values for both Twitter URL and X URL.

But, since I also have my oik-user plugin activated, these aren’t the values being used here. When oik-user is activated, if you want to use the oik-options you need to use the `alt=0` attribute. The values displayed without this attribute are those for the selected user, which defaults to the post author. These fields are set in the User’s profile.

Because there are values for both Twitter and X the Follow me block displays both icons; Twitter then X.
